Duty to provide information pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR
Purpose of the processing
The data submitted will be used to contact contributors regarding their submissions, i. e. to reject, approve etc. the submitted abstracts. Also, the data can be used to contact them further for organizational purposes for the event.
Data categories
The following data might be processed: email-addresses, names and surnames, titles, affiliations, address, phone number and the contents of abstract document.
Legal bases
With regard to your data stored at Klagenfurt University, you are generally entitled to information about the personal data concerned (Art 15 GDPR), rectification (Art 16 GDPR), deletion (Art 17 GDPR) and restriction (Art 18 GDPR), Data portability (Art 20 GDPR), objection in case of legitimate interest (Art 21 GDPR) and, if the processing is based on consent, the right to withdraw consent (Art 7(3) GDPR), which does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out until withdrawal. With regard to all these rights, please contact the office indicated under data controller. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you have the right to complain to the Austrian data protection authority: www.dsb.gv.at/kontakt.
Forwarding of data
Data might be disclosed to Matthias Wieser, Katharina Kinder-Kurlanda and Raffaela Mori with the purpose of organising the event and rejecting or approving the abstracts.
Duration of data processing
For the duration of the fulfillment of the respective purpose or until the termination of legal disputes with the data subject, unless a longer retention period is stipulated by law.
Your rights
With regard to your data stored at the University of Klagenfurt, you have the right to information about the personal data concerned (Art 15 GDPR), correction (Art 16 GDPR), deletion (Art 17 GDPR) and restriction (Art 18 GDPR), data portability (Art 20 GDPR), objection in the case of legitimate interest (Art 21 GDPR) and, if the processing is based on consent, the right to revoke consent (Art 7 para 3 GDPR), which does not affect the legality of the processing carried out until revocation.
